& they were all amazed, & they glorified God, & were filled with fear, saying, we have seen strange things today.

& after these things he went forth, & saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: & he said unto him, follow me.

& he left all, rose up, & followed him.

& Levi made him a great feast in his own house: & there was a great company of publicans & of others that sat down with them.

But the scribes & pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, why does he eat & drink with publicans & sinners?

-Luke 5:26-30

In this chapter of Luke, we read about Levi the Publican. Who the Lord saw sitting at the receipt of customs, & immediately insisted that Levi follow him. (This being just moments before the Lord forgives a paralytic man, that was in a bed, taken with a palsy.) A few things to keep in mind, concerning publicans/tax collectors:

Now despite the reputation given concerning Publicans at that time, we read that after being invited to follow the Lord, that Levi made him a great feast in his own house. Along with them, we read that there was also a great company of publicans & others that sat down with them. But when the scribes & pharisees murmured against his disciples, wondering why the Lord eats & drinks with publicans & sinners, his reply was simply:

"They that are whole need not a physicians; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

This being in precept with the root scripture in foundation of our Humility Process,

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. -2 Chronicles 7:14

As a reminder, The Humility Process is the discipline of aligning with our higher nature to overcome obstacles of the lower. & So when it?s written that ?I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance? we can also see that because they were already whole, they have no need of a physician, but instead those that were actually sick.

With this we can see that sickness to wholeness & sinners to repentance, are both alike proverbs of remission toward good health & wellness. On the base principle that calling sinners to repentance (The Subjective fasting) will eventually bring forth the result of sickness to wholeness (The Objective fasting).

With this in mind, we can perceive the Lord at the house of Levi, issuing a multitude into that same 3-step major we found with Publius. These are ALL things also provided with this Fasting-Workshop. (21-days > 4-Temp Pack > Vision Journal)

For the remainder of this blog series, we will be exploring in depth, The feast of Levi the publican & his being remissioned through time spent working through the Lord.

& they said unto him, why do the disciples of John fast often, & make prayers, & likewise the disciples of Pharisees; but thine eat & drink? -Luke 5:33
